Give Thanks!

As the holidays are approaching us, I can't help but to step back and think about what I am truly grateful for. This is the first year Tadd and I are celebrating the holidays together as a little married couple and we love it more than anything. We love our little life together and I couldn't ask for better husband and best friend to share my life with. It is so fun to start our own traditions that we can pass down to our own children one day and also the ones that our parents passed down to us. Christmas and Thanksgiving has so much more meaning when you get to spend it with the people you love the most! This year we went down to my parents for Thanksgiving. It was fun to get away for the day and spend it with family. It was a small quiet Thanksgiving with lots of relaxation, football, and way too much food, it couldn't get any better than that. On our way home we talked about going to some Black Friday sales but decided against the madness cause we didn't want to deal with crowds and all we were going to go for was movies anyways. But on Fri before work I decided to go to Tai pan to see if it was busy or if I would be able to go in. To my surprise I got great parking and and it just took a second to check out. Amazing! I got our first Christmas tree with cute ornaments and ribbon for such a good price with lots of free stuff and I didn't even have to wake up and deal with crowds. It is crazy that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is approaching us, and New Years is just around the corner. Where did this year go? We are excited for the holidays, vacations, and spending time with our families

Family Visits

A week or two ago Tadd's parents came down to visit and we were able to spend a lot time with them. We had a great time with everyone. We all went to lighting at River woods. It was so pretty and it was fun to just sit outside next to the fire pits and listen to all the music and enjoy the feel of the holidays coming. it was a such a great night and right after Jon Schmidt played it was time to go home and right than it began to snow for the first time this season! I am so glad it started when we were done, it sure was pretty though. The next day us girls did a lot of shopping and the boys stayed home to watch football of course, so it worked out for all of us! Than we all met up to eat dinner at Pei wei! It was a great weekend and we loved spending it with family!
All of us outside by the fire pit:)

Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween! Another holiday has come and gone and before you know it,  it will be Thanksgiving and Christmas! Crazy how time flies by! We didn't do too much for Halloween this year, just hung out at home and handed out candy to all the trick or treaters! It was so fun to see all the little kids in their costumes and to have my little primary class come and yell to their parents cause they were so excited to be at sister Jones house. It made my night, they are the sweetest little five year old's! Ty and Lexa came later with cute little Mckay is his Fireman costume! It has been a fun relaxing night and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Again not too much going on here just same old same old, but enjoying life! The excitement of our nights, or should I say Tadd's, is for his Purple Cobra's games, he gets so excited and I love that he does! The next games are the playoffs! I will definitely come out of my car this time to watch, I kind of have been a wimp and park where I can see him play and only come out for like 20 min, yep I need to be better! It's just soooo cold! As for me, I just have a lot of work and trying to get through this last bit of math. We are both counting down the days for Thanksgiving break in Parowan with my parents and Christmas break with Tadd's family! We are so excited to spend the holidays with everyone! At the rate this year is going, both holidays will be here before we know it! I mean we are already going on being married for 6 months! I still can't believe it! Here are quite a  bit of pictures of what we have been up to!

Tadd, Tyson, and Mckay just reinacting a picture from a couple years ago!

Lexa, Ty, and Mckay! Cute little family! (Lexa don't kill me for puting this up, it is a really cute picture:) We love living so close to them.
Our pumpkin! Not our best work that's for sure! We got lazy and just put T & M ha!
Getting ready to go to Tadd's football game!
                           Walking around Mt. Timp Temple

Trying to be festive and take ppictures with our boo sign! and I chopped off all my hair ah!

Cutest Fireman you have ever seen!
And here are some more crafts, you can't really see them too well.

Love this time of year!!

Nothing too exciting happening around here as of lately just a lot of work and school, but loving the time we do have on the weekends together to enjoy the fall. We love this time of year and this is when we really do love Utah, that is until the snow comes that is. I love the decorations that come out for all the holidays, the changing colors, and just the over all feel and weather. We have taken many drives up the canyon by the Alpine loop and attempted taking our little family photos, so we could see the pretty leaves in the background. We were also able to go to Gardner Village to see all the shops with Tyson, Alexa, and little Mckay. The shops up there are so cute and I am pretty sure that I want to buy everything that is there. We have never been there before but it was definitely worth going to.
Earlier in the month we were able to fly to Arizona to visit Tadd's family. It was such a good trip to visit all his family and to get away from work, school, and our little life here in Provo. We went to a few malls, went out to dinner with everyone, and went to an ASU game. Tadd was in heaven that he was able to go and see them beat USC. It was a really good game and we had a lot of fun!
School and work keep us busy and by the end of the night we are so tired and are ready for bed at 9 or at least I am, we are already an old married couple, but we wouldn't change anything about our lives except for a little more time together! We are happy and are enjoying the fall and the seasons to come!! We hope everyone else is too! HAPPY FALL!!

Random Happenings!!

Well nothing too exciting going on in the Jones house other than a lot of work and school, but we can't complain things are good! We recently took a trip down to Parowan to visit my parents and of course go to the Iron County Fair which is a pretty big deal for a small town! We had a great time with my parents at the rodeo and of course had to get a Funnel cake! During the day we took a drive up to Brianhead and went on a few hikes and I had to show Tadd the cool visitor spots that overlook all the mountains. It is gorgeous and sometimes I forget about how close it is to my parents house, we really enjoyed it. I am pretty sure we go on hikes everyday or at least a walk somewhere, but we have to take advantage of the good weather before it starts to snow again ah! It was a quick trip, but a fun one at that.

Overlook at a visitor spot in Brian Head

                                     Tadd & I

I think Tadd is probably sick of all pictures I take, but he still poses for me:)
On one of our hikes again
It's beginning to feel like fall, and we couldn't be more excited! I may be a little bit more excited than Tadd is, due to the fact that I want to decorate everything and am constantly wanting to craft! Which has worked out because I craft while Tadd watches his million football games on TV, so we are both happy with that arrangement. I already have Halloween decorations up and have made two wreaths and other things to make  our little home all festive. Intramural football has also started for Tadd, "The Purple Cobras." He gets so excited for these games, I came home from work yesterday and he was on the computer watching football clips to get pumped up, as he would call it! I love that he gets excited for these games and I enjoy going to them and watching with all the other wives. He did hurt himself pretty good last night and ending up having to go to the doctor and than the hospital for x-rays, but we were happy to find out that it was just bad bruising, so the poor guy is on a lot of medication, but is being a good sport about it and is still trying to do his homework and helped me with my math, and I can proudly say that I am finally understanding it!!
We are excited for our trip to Arizona next weekend to visit Tadd's parents and to go to the ASU game! Other than the occasional getaways, we are staying busy and enjoying life!

Here are my attempts of being crafty!

Summer comes to end...

As we all know summer is coming to end and we are not very happy about it! School starts tomorrow and the nights where we have just been able to hang out are coming to end. We have had a great summer together and have already been married for three months! Time is flying by, but we are loving every minute of it! We have managed to fit in a few little trips in before life gets a little crazy again! We rented beach cruisers for a couple hours and headed up the canyon for a nice ride, tried to watch a meteor shower up the canyon, but fell asleep in the car with in a few minutes (I guess that's what happens when you get married, bedtime is at 10 ha), and were able to go camping up around Payson with our friends Austin and Ciara! It was beautiful up there and even found the coolest waterfall, but cool didn't we didn't take the camera, it was amazing! This summer has been one of the best summers yet and I am sure the fall will be just as good!

Heading up the Canyon on the cruisers

On one of our hikes while we were camping
Austin and Ciara

Typical Tadd face ha-gotta love it
Trying to see the meteor shower
We finally got a picture of the Mesa Temple with our last name put on it and we love it!

On a side note, just a funny! Any one who knows us, knows that I try to be healthy and Tadd makes fun of me and says junk is better. So the other night we were sitting on the floor and Tadd had been sick all day and was coughing so I got up and told him I had a surprise but he saw that it was a vitamin C chewable so he laid himself down on the flour and tightened his lips as tight as he possibly could while I tried to push it in his mouth laughing, I finally won and got him to put it in his mouth than he sticks it out and says, "Melissa that would be like me grabbing a spoonful of ice cream and shoving it in your mouth!" he smiles and walks away ha but I still won that analogy didn't work for me ha, love that boy.
